You have seen your students invest time and effort extracting relevant notes and quotes, interpreting their meaning, grouping and tagging information to distill a claim, and outlining to prepare for writing. In our new offering, NoodleTools Throughline, they can leverage that hard work with direct, organized access to their notes and outline as they draft.

Available August 2027, the NoodleTools Throughline add-on provides you with a window into student thinking and makes the writing process transparent:

• The Trail: Understand the connections between notecards and sentences. Click a sentence to view where the idea came from. Click a notecard to identify how a student used it.
• The Formative Assessment: Draw from an insight-rich data dashboard to kick-start a conversation, a question, or a low-stakes intervention. Save and reuse your most effective feedback.
• The Instructional Loop: Understand how the student’s draft comes together. Compare drafts between writing sessions or since you left feedback, tag drafts as “milestones” for conferencing, and identify who contributed what (and when) in a collaborative draft.

NoodleTools doesn’t incorporate AI. We appreciate the challenges you’re currently facing and believe that one proactive approach to thoughtful instruction is to shine a bright light on the research process. Throughline empowers you to recognize students’ cognitive work and agency and to offer timely and targeted feedback to motivate learning.

Use the following guidance to budget for the NoodleTools Throughline add-on. To your current pricing, which remains unchanged in 2027-28, add:

• Middle school (250-1000 students): $235
• High school (1000-2000 students): $360
• Large high school (2000-3000 students): $445
• College: Email us your current FTE for a quote
