Notice: G Suite menu not displaying NoodleTools app (Google bug)

Hi folks, just a quick note to let you know that Google released an update a day or two ago that has a bug, the result of which 3rd-party Google Marketplace apps are no longer displaying at the bottom of the “waffle” menu for many schools. If the issue is affecting you, you’ll notice that it isn’t just NoodleTools that is missing — if you had other 3rd-party G Suite apps installed, they aren’t down there at the bottom either. Anyway, Google is aware of the issue (we spoke to them directly yesterday when we noticed it and they confirmed it is a bug) and they are working on it. Meanwhile, you would just use one of the other two methods of logging in to NoodleTools through G Suite, namely:

  1. The direct link: https://my.noodletools.com/logon/signin?domain=xyz.edu (where “xyz.edu” is replaced with your Google domain)
  2. Entering your Google email on the right side of the login screen (under “Access via G Suite”)

Update (10/25/18 2:50 PM PST): Google support has informed us that a fix has gone out for the issue described in this post, so the NoodleTools app should now be visible again in the Google “waffle” menu if it is properly installed for the domain.
