Google Apps for Education Support

Monday, September 20th, 2010

NoodleBib now includes support for Google Apps for Education logins. If you are the administrator at a school that uses Google Apps for Education, you can log into your school’s (or district’s) administrative area, click on “NoodleBib Customization” and then specify the domain (the part after the “@”) of your Google Apps for Education logins. Once you’ve changed that, students will have the option to log in using their Google Apps for Education account (although it is still possible for them to use a regular account as well, if they wish to).

Start collaborating!

Monday, September 20th, 2010

We’re excited to announce that NoodleBib has been updated with the much-anticipated project collaboration feature. This feature is currently only available to users under school/district subscriptions (not individual subscribers).

When you open a project and look at the Dashboard, you’ll see the new “Student Collaboration” section there (below “Sharing”). Just click the “Add/remove students” link, enter the NoodleBib IDs of the students you want to work together with, and you’re ready to go. Each student who is collaborating on the project will see the project in his/her own personal folder. The team can all be working on the collaborative project at the same time — changes will be automatically synced up as needed.

We’ll be updating the user’s guide and other documentation this week.

Student collaboration feature update

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

Just a quick note to update you on the student collaboration feature. We’ve been testing testing testing to make sure that we get it right — while we were hoping to get it out this weekend, our latest round of testing turned up a few more issues. If things go smoothly from here, we’ll do the update on the evening of Saturday, September 18th. In addition to the new collaboration feature, the update will also enhance our Google Docs integration with support for Google Apps for Education accounts.

Welcome back to school!
