NoodleBib 6 Preview
Sunday, June 26th, 2005Coming for the 2005-06 school year… The last week in July 2005 will be bringing some exciting changes. Here’s a preview:
Server upgrade: We’re adding new, faster servers. A fall-back system will ensure that the site continues running smoothly even if there is a problem with one server. Automated database replication technology will be keeping all of your saved work safe as you create it (as opposed to a once-a-day backup). What’s that all mean? Faster, safer, and always available!
NoodleBib 6: We’ve listened to your suggestions, and we’ve made changes! Some of the new features and improvements include…
- Simplified folder creation and login process
- A solution to the “What citation type do I use to cite this source?” question — the ability to get the user to the right form no matter what citation type they select!
- Ability to “back up” while in the citation wizard screens
- APA legal citations based on new version of The Bluebook (18th ed.)
- Library subscription database wizard changes — we had a long conversation with the MLA editorial staff and learned that a library subscription database is not always a library subscription database!
- Copy and move citations within and between source lists
- Copy source lists between folders
- Ability for account administrator to manage student folders and user information
- New citation types, improved forms, better error checking, and more…
NoodleBib Express: Previously only available to subscription users, NoodleBib Express will now be offered free to all users! Don’t need an entire source list? All the MLA and APA citation types available in the subscription version… without the subscription! No registration or login required.
