Damon Abilock, Co-Founder

Product Development & Customer Experience
Damon directs all product development at NoodleTools, and is responsible for maintaining the high-quality user and service components of the product. Damon co-founded NoodleTools in 1999 with a vision to create an on-demand student-research platform with emphasis on teaching and learning. Under Damon's direction, NoodleTools has grown from a smart teaching idea into a robust, user-friendly product serving millions of students. Damon holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Duke University and U.C.L.A, respectively. His prior experience includes entrepreneurial programming and design positions at Synteni Inc. (acquired by Incyte during his tenure), Rubric Inc. (acquired by Broadbase Software and then Kana Communications during his tenure), and Bridgespan Inc..

Debbie Abilock, Co-Founder

Educational Vision & Content
Debbie shapes the educational vision of NoodleTools, with the mission of providing educators with tools to teach academic research as an analytical and creative process. Debbie brings over 30 years’ experience as a school administrator, curriculum coordinator, teaching librarian and information specialist. She is widely known for her work on innovative curriculum design, thoughtful technology integration, and multiple literacies, and she publishes, lectures and consults internationally.

Debbie has been honored as an LJ “Mover and Shaker” in the library community, appointed a Library of Congress American Memory Fellow, received the CSLA President’s Award for curricular leadership, and won Grand Prize for innovative online curriculum from Time Magazine. She has worked on numerous local, state, and national boards and committees and is currently President of BayNet, a multitype library network in the Bay Area. Rigele Abilock

Corporate Strategy & Operations
Rigele joined NoodleTools in 2011 to lead the company’s corporate, marketing, and partnering strategy during a period of rapid customer growth and product adoption. While living in Europe for a decade, Rigele co-founded Cadenza Partners, a firm providing strategic expertise to emerging companies and entrepreneurial teams. She was also a Senior Partner at Scandinavian venture capital firm SLSV, and a regional head for Paris-based venture fund Sofinnova Partners. Prior to that, Rigele held business strategy positions at companies Lundbeck, Maxygen, Ariad Pharmaceuticals and Pangene. During the 2010-11 academic year, Rigele worked as a Research Assistant in the Carol Dweck psychology lab at Stanford University, where she helped to run school-based interventions related to Mindset, motivation, and achievement. Rigele holds an M.B.A. from MIT with a concentration in Technology Strategy, and a B.A. in English/Writing from Pomona College.

Amy Rogers

Manager, Web Services, Communications & Marketing
Amy manages marketing, customer communication, social media, and Web services projects, to ensure that NoodleTools continues to be a streamlined, user-driven, forward-looking company. Amy has an MLIS from San Jose State University's School of Library and Information Science and a B.S. in Economics from Mills College. She has years of web technology experience in both high-technology and non-profit industries.
